Hosting: e-mail serving

Using either "POP" or "IMAP" services, so that new e-mail is stored on the server until you collect it.

Ideal if you're not sure where or how you might access new messages.

Rather than receiving e-mail and forwarding it on elsewhere this process receives e-mail and stores it for retrieval via an e-mail client (Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express).

This requires a simple configuration change to an existing mail client to check for and download new messages from the server.

Most mail clients can be configured to check multiple servers for e-mail, and either remove new messages from the server after download, or leave a copy there.
